-0023- Links Page Update
Moar links … MOAR!
And I have made a change to my criteria to include smolnet hyperlinks.
Did some thinking and decided to include all geminigopher capsuleholes that are not all tech and protocol specific posts. Even the topics might not be my interests. If there are a few tech/protocol/etc. posts every now and then, it’s fine. As long as most of the posts are something else. Whatever it is. Knitting or something.
Thought that I’ll just check how much there is “real content” out there … since my years long experience of searching for content on smolnet is that almost all content is somewhat about the protocol the post is served with. Or somehow related to programming and tech and such. Which is fine if you are looking for such thingies. I am not.
So … that said, there is one exception to this. Lan Tian’s gopherhole, which is all about programming and whatnot. “But why this exeption?”, you might ask … well, his gopherhole is served with nginx. That’s why. No other reason.
I will add more of these when I encounter them in the wild.
Couple HTTP hyperlinks added as well. Twin Peaks Blog, because of, DUH!, Twin Peaks! :D
And special mention goes to The Honest Courtesan by Maggie McNeill. Her “Happy Lammas” post popped into my screen by random occurances of the wonderful change and once I checked her “Introduction” and reading the following:
“Maggie has a very interesting job,” she said sweetly, “don’t you, Maggie?” Since everyone else there already knew what I did, her intent was obviously to embarrass me in front of the lady I had just met, who was middle-aged and fairly proper.
“Oh, really, what do you do?” she asked me, expecting nothing shocking, I’m sure.
“I’m a whore,” I replied matter-of-factly.
“Excuse me?” the lady asked, clearly believing she had misunderstood.
“A whore,” I repeated. “A prostitute. A call girl. A harlot, a lady of the evening, a hooker, a strumpet, a doxy, a fille de joie. A demimondaine, a woman of questionable virtue.” This was delivered with a straight face and no hint that I had said anything more unusual than “bank teller.”
“Oh, how interesting,” the poor dear said faintly. Our hostess turned scarlet and someone quickly introduced a new topic of conversation. I put up no fuss and simply continued on with the evening as though nothing had happened until the earliest polite opportunity to excuse ourselves and leave.
Absolutely priceless! I laughed so much I almost ROFL.
What a lady <3
That’s it for now. More to come in the future.
Be good and avoid fuckery!
